| 1. The sunlight strikes the dark-blue absorber inside the evacuated tube while it is conducted to the copper heat pipe. |
| 2. The heat pipe transfers the heat up to the copper header pipe location in
the insulated manifold box. |
| 3. A pump circulates the fluid to be heated through the copper header pipe warming the water. In cold regions an anti-freeze water mix is circulated through the collector to prevent freezing. |
| 4. The water or anti-freeze mix circulates back into the storage tank heating the fluid inside the tank. |
