ISA has a number of residential solar water heating packages for domestic water heating. We have Solar Ratings Certification OG 300 approved system packages and additional Apricus systems that are currently being approved.
All system packages being approved qualify for the California and other State rebate programs for residential installations and consist of either one or two Apricus 30 tube collector systems. They are all Active (pump circulated) systems and consist of the following:
Open, or Direct Systems
That heat the domestic hot water directly through the solar collector
Closed Systems
That heat a separate loop of water in the solar domestic water through a heat exchanger
Closed Drainback Systems
Which are closed systems with a drainback tank to allow the solar water loop to drain out of the collector to prevent overheating or freezing
